Data Strategist - Project Lead Strategic Data Projects (Ormit Assignment)
CurrentTelenet group provides its customers with connections via the internet, mobile or fixed telephony for homes and businesses. Telenet also offers entertainment and TV experiences. As Data Strategist, I was responsible for taking the lead on strategic projects within the Data Tribe. The Data Tribe provides business-centric data products as a service and manages the process end-to-end from creation to implementation.Tasks included:- Orchestrating a Milk the Cow project in which we bring the data products and business actions together by acting as a "bridge-builder" between technical profiles and other stakeholders to maximize the value of our data products. Creating a shared understanding between stakeholders, defining current pain points and making action plans to deal with those pain points. Coordinating the proposed actions by driving the strategic business stakeholder agenda.- Organizing workshops, preparing internal working sessions and presenting our plan of action to the whole Data Tribe concerning our Data Product Policies and Data Governance projects.- Steering our tribe-wide efforts related to critical data incidents. Creating a shared view on how we deal with critical data incidents with respect to process, people and tools.- Project lead in a Protect the Cow project where we bring all the stakeholders from a data product together, from business to data engineers. This was important since not guaranteeing the highest quality of the product would result in a loss of 3 million euros. We created a shared understanding, defined the current process and pain points and made an action plan to guarantee the quality. As a project lead, my role was, among other things, to get all our stakeholders on board, prepare our workshop sessions, brief and debrief all the stakeholders, consolidate the input, give the workshops and keep track of the action points.
