As R&D project leader, my work consists of:-to be an advisor for fluid mechanics and optics. -to manage several innovant "upstream" projects.My PhD study was academic research on turbulence. I measured characteric times of isotropic turbulence and those of the scalar field transported by turbulence. Turbulence mecanisms responsible of the spatial scales coherence loss were successfully identified. As a result, a universal time scale was proposed.Those measurements were needed to modelised turbulence in numerical simulation (LES).An example of turbulent time scale: the weather forecast can not be predicted more than 2 weeks ahead.
