I am an artist based in New York City. My subject matter ranges far and wide as well as my skill sets. Alongside being a painter, I am also a teacher and mentor to many. I have been in a handful of group exhibitions, including at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Long Beach Island Foundation. I have also created a 8x16 foot mural for SUNY Purchase College on the side of their Student Center. While in college I received my Gold Award in Girl Scouts where I was honored with the Life Scout title. I created a program to raise awareness surrounding Mental Illness and how art therapy can have an important impact on how we handle our own burdens. At the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, I am able to provide a creative and safe learning environment where students feel comfortable to express themselves through art or conversation. While being a private art instructor, I was able to continue guiding my students in the right path. Art specialized high schools require specific criteria where I was able to assist in. My students received acceptances to their top choices. I am able to continue teaching and working 1:1 in small increments by instructing step by step paint parties; I’m able to help people bring their visions to life. I also have had the opportunity to help guide families in the right direction that need emergency Rent and Food Assistance. Resources were provided regarding what they can do to live comfortably, with my aid. I’m extremely glad to have the opportunity to make an impact in my community.
