The Kandos School of Cultural Adaptation brings together artists and writers interested in cultivating the understanding of art as any activity that brings about cultural change and reforms our understanding of the world. Many of KSCA’s activities revolve around the post-industrial town of Kandos and its surrounding lands in the Central West of NSW, however, its members come from many places, and KSCA’s projects bridge urban, regional and rural Australia.

Cementa is a grass roots festival celebrating the state of contemporary art in Australia with a focus on community engagement, site specificity and the on-the-ground arts community. Over its four days, Cementa brought over 2000 visitors into the town to enjoy installation, video, performance, sound, and situational art, while it still managed to remain low key and relaxed, eschewing the all art all the time mentality of larger festivals. INDEX. provides studio and project space to contemporary artists in a context that permits and encourages dialogue and cross influence. Our intention was to promote a contemporary Australian art that emphasizes, explores, or otherwise manifests the conflict between presence and representation, literalness and theatricality, sign and affect.

Enhancing images for newsprint using Photoshop. My duties include color balancing, contrasting, sharpening, and overall adjustment of both mono and color images for reproduction in daily newspapers including The Australian, The Daily Telegraph, and The Sunday Telegraph. My duties also include high end magazine pre-press work for a number of news ltd. publications.
