With a passion for science, I naturally pursued academic studies in this field. After earning a bachelor's degree in general biology, I completed a master's in microbiology. I then joined CIRAD as an engineer in the "SEAPAG" team of the UMR "AGAP" focusing on the adaptation of citrus polyploid to biotic and abiotic stresses. This rewarding experience motivated me to undertake a PhD to further my research.My thesis had two main objectives: identifing the physiological and molecular factors involved in citrus polyploid tolerance to water deficit, and genetically characterizing two new populations of tetraploid hybrid rootstocks to select genotypes better adapted to the current challenges of citrus growing. During my PhD, I was also engaged in citrus breeding programs, specially aiming to develop and select new cultivars more resistant to citrus greening, a devastating bacterial disease.Through my academic background and varied professional experiences, I have developed strong multidisciplinary skills, who are a valuable asset for new professional opportunities and future research projects.
