Attend bi-monthly Student Management meetings for the department.Responsible for Student Program feedback at departmental meetings. Responsible for ensuring that any representative sent in place of the Student Manager is informed and prepared for the meeting.Responsible for meeting any and all deadlines for projects set forth by the Program Coordinator, Area Managers, or Assistant Area Managers. Must have a working knowledge of all student and full-time employees’ duties and job descriptions. Hire students to fill in weekly schedule and to fill additional shifts for special events.Must interview, hire, and train new Assistant Student Managers and Student Supervisors with the assistance of the Full Time Management.Must establish a training program for the location with a system to ensure that all students are properly trained in procedures, policies, sanitation, safety, and customer service. Meet all deadlines for properly completing hiring and payroll processes. Create and maintain all student employee files.Must hold weekly or bi-weekly meetings with Assistant Student Managers and Student Supervisors to assist with location communication.Help maintain positive relations between the student and the full-time staff.Assist the Full Time Management with reaching labor hour/budget goals.Complete both probationary, and semester evaluations for all student employees including Assistant Student Managers and Supervisors.Prepare for the upcoming semester including recruiting early move-ins, hiring management as needed, and revising the schedule.Discipline those student employees that violate departmental policies as per the disciplinary section of the Student Manager’s Manual. Assist in the operation of any satellite locations under your primary locationAny additional duties assigned by the Full Time Management.Oversee all Assistant Student Manager and Student Supervisor duties within your location.
