As the retired CEO of GTA Professional Staffing, I opened a private consultancy to serve GTA post retirement. I will also serve the needs of other non-staffing related firms as well after my service to GTA is concluded.

The company was a global supplier of automotive safety systems and components. My position there was to lead and oversee a global sales organization of individuals and teams located in Germany, the U.K., Korea, Japan, Italy and the U.S. as well.

Serving as the Global VP of Sales for BREED Technologies, I was part of the management team that led the acquisition and assimilation of Allied Signal Safety Restraints into BREED in 1997, after our steering wheel division at UTA was acquired by BREED in 1996. The Allied Signal acquisition brought to BREED high volume seat belt programs, plus inflator and airbag module capabilities across Europe, Asia and North America. The company was later sold to the Carlyle Management Group in 2003, which re-named it Key Safety Systems. I left the firm in June of 2003 to run GTA Professional Staffing. I am a supplier to KSS for professional staffing to present day and remain close to my former teammates.

During my tenure as Design Leader, I led the full implementation of an ECR (engineering change request) system as well as managed the data transfer of drawings and designs from sites across the Midwest to the new HQ on Porter Street in Detroit.Building on the newest CAD technologies, we transitioned from drafting boards and the GE Calma systems to the newest and greatest Prime-Lundy PDGS systems that were available at the time. Due to the successful interaction with key clients during my tenure as Design Leader, I was recognized and recruited to move into sales as the Director of their largest account, Ford. I led a team there that transitioned successfully during our sale to BREED in 1996 and most remain in place as part of that successor, Key Safety Systems; which eventually became Joyson Safety Systems.

My role was to lead the Global Sales for Ford for the UTA Steering Wheel Division, which had it's original roots back to the Sheller Company, which supplied wheels to Henry Ford for the Model T. We set the pace worldwide with new technologies including the development of a magnesium alloy for armatures, which provided weight savings and crash management. We also developed in-mold painting for urethane steering wheels and airbag covers.UTA also enjoyed a massive presence in the leather wrapping and hand sewing of steering wheels and also high end airbag covers. We also pioneered the use of high volume wood wheels in the U.S. by building on our expertise developed on the Jaguar programs in the U.K.
