Shell Secondee to North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC), Kashagan – Office basedSafely and efficiently support the execution of field maintenance activities for all Kashagan Onshore and Offshore surface facilities; implement the Company Maintenance Policy, Strategies and Processes to assure full Technical Integrity Compliance coupled with optimum Production Availability. Support development of fully Competent Maintenance Execution Teams by participation in pre-commissioning, commissioning and Re-Start readiness activities.

Deliver Operational Readiness and start-up Assurance as part of project delivery for the numerous compression facilities sites in the North Rumaila field.Provide operations support for Commissioning and Start-up at these facilities.

Shell Secondee to AGIP KCO, Kashagan – Onshore Processing Facility, Eskene WestLead a multinational, multi-discipline team within a joint venture to effectively and safely carry out maintenance activities both at the North Offsite Area of the onshore processing facility and the remotely operated stations situation along the offshore supply trunk lines, oil export, gas export and fuel gas import lines.

Offshore – Sean PapaInstigate engineering projects to ensure that Sean asset was ready for blow-down mode (off contract) to maximise production opportunities; and ultimately increase plant reliability, whilst reducing costs. Engaged with engineering to ensure these projects were realised and resources planned and scheduled to execution.Provide relief for the offshore installation manager (OIM) and operations supervisor positions. Maintain platform competence and ensure the technicians were trained and suitable succession plans were in place.

Offshore – Greater Sole Pit and Cleaver Bank HighLed improvements in offshore work execution through interfacing with all departments working offshore and onshore. Ensured the contract maintenance team followed the Shell operational excellence model, specifically for the elements; Work Preparation, Scheduling and Execution (WPSE) and Integrated Activity Planning (IAP).

Shell Exploration & Production UK, Offshore – Leman AlphaAs the Asset Operator, to direct and control a team of Production Technicians; to supervise and control the operation of surface and sub-surface facilities associated with gas processing, installation power and utility systems; to ensure that all performance targets are achieved in accordance with operational plans; to manage the permit to work system and perform the role of Area Authority; to provide emergency response and support in-line with installation/operational requirements; and to deputise as OIM as required.

Operations / Instrument Technician / Control Room OperatorShell Exploration & Production UK, Offshore – Leman Alpha and Leman NUI field supporto Performed the role of Technical Custodian of Instruments (TCI). Ensured the platform safeguarding systems were operational, risk assessed and recorded.o Performed root cause analysis on the gas turbine vibration monitor failures – lead to replacement of entire system and upgrade of instrument room HVACo Designed and installed a rack mounted remote control station for the Leman process control system due to the reliability issues faced with the old system.o Performed the role of Control Room Operator (CRO). Provided platform optimisation of the process system.o Acted as offshore installation manager (OIM) on the normally unattended platforms (NUI).o Performed the role of operations/instrument technician on both the nodal (Alpha) platform and the NUI’s.o Turnaround coordinator – Prepared drain, purge, vent and isolation plans – communication with contractors on N2 requirements and onshore work preparation teams for materials – I achieved a record in lost down-time due to operations during our N2 pressure testing by co-ordinating activities to allow seamless transition from one system to the next, following completion of maintenance activities.
