Teaching English and communication skills at tertiary level for over two decades in Singapore, Leo Joseph has been successful both as an educator and administrator. With a master's degree in English language and literature, a specialist diploma in applied learning and teaching (SDALT) and several WSQ certificates, he has earned an excellent track record in assuring student success through proven competencies in English language and literature. Besides, Leo has an extensive background of developing and implementing special programmes for second language learners, working adults, students and teachers who are racially and ethnically diverse.Currently, he is teaching at Singapore Polytechnic.He is also actively involved in conducting seminars/ workshops on: ‘Effective Communication,' 'Creative Writing/ thinking,’ ‘Public Speaking’ and 'ELT (English Language Teaching).’ Through annual workshops, he has trained primary and secondary school teachers from Thailand and Southeast Asian nations in Singapore. He has also published several papers on language and literature in various journals and dailies in Singapore and overseas. Since he has travelled widely, he is able to understand learners of diverse ethnic background and their academic needs very well.
