Led 18 person team responsible for production of finished airfoils for gas turbine engines, managing production on over 7,000 airfoils valued over $14 million through 30 different hand operated, machining, chemical, and non-destructive testing operations and three different outside vendors.Effectively scheduled and managed weekly production throughput goals for department, including two major bottlenecks, enabling the plant to increase sales from $59.4 million to $72.2 million over five quarters.Developed and maintained over 30 unique reports analyzing the department’s throughput, inventory levels, operational yields, labor efficiency, maintenance status, budgetary expenditures, and operational cost.Managed individual operator production rates, oversaw hiring and training of new operators required to meet sales targets, spearheaded corrective action on quality issues and worked with engineers to mitigate them in the future, worked with EHS manager to address and mitigate safety issues, enforced team discipline through counseling and administrative action, and managed weekly operator payroll issues.

Led three person team managing intra-theater transportation for 4,500 person Brigade with $1.25 billion dollars of worth of equipment dispersed across 25 forward operating bases in Afghanistan.Directed over 2,000 missions and planned logistics utilizing ground, air, and material handling equipment, resulting in over 75,000 tons of equipment flawlessly deployed across Afghanistan.Developed and implemented an innovative, multi-modal re-supply process which reduced overall delivery time by 40% which contributed to the Brigade winning 2010 Outstanding Logistical Support Unit of the Year (Best of 21 Brigades.)Managed 120+ emergency resupply operations of water, individual equipment, ammunition, and critically short aviation parts, keeping personnel and helicopters operating when normal methods of resupply failed.Synchronized receipt of $500 million dollars worth of equipment from 11 attached units from the United States to Kandahar, directed follow on movement across Afghanistan, enabling continuous helicopter support to ground forces during the troop surge in 2010.Collaborated with top level Army and Air Force transportation leadership at strategic conference to ensure a seamless, full replacement of incoming and outgoing Brigade in Afghanistan, ensuring no loss of aviation coverage.Planned and led 50 person team directing preparation, customs, loading, inter-theater redeployment, and world wide tracking of 1,100 pieces of equipment via ground and air assets from 3 forward bases in Afghanistan to US.Noted by battalion commander as “Best” of 7 lieutenants and as “an intelligent officer of the highest caliber.”Received Bronze Star Medal for exceptionally meritorious service during performance of duties supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Led 18 person platoon managing operations of 189 person distribution company providing logistical support to 4,500 person Brigade. Directed maintenance and employment of 132 vehicles worth over $15 million. Managed all training, administrative support, arms room, and supply functions.Planned and executed advanced level maintenance repair post-deployment, returning 875 pieces of equipment to operational status.Planned and led logistics for inter-theater movement of 803 person battalion and 196 pieces of equipment from Fort Campbell, KY to Afghanistan with 100% accountability as battalion unit movement officer (UMO).Selected out of 6 UMOs by Brigade leadership to manage 30 person team which provided material handling support for 800+ containers and vehicles from 6 battalions during pre-deployment preparation for deployment.Led port reception and upload operations in Charleston, SC for 214 containers with 100% accountability.Noted by commander as “Best” of 7 lieutenants and for “outstanding leadership” and “boundless potential.”

Led 68 person platoon in Afghanistan, supervised airfield control group managing ground operations for 100+ helicopters operating out of 32 landing positions, provided transportation for 21,000+ personnel and 7.5 million lbs. of cargo in eastern Afghanistan. Managed 18 vehicles valued over $3.1 million.Planned and led logistics to redeploy 31 pieces of equipment from Afghanistan to KY with no losses.Analyzed an streamlined the company's supply discipline program, reduced shortages from 30% to under 1% in 9 months.
