I contributed to a commercial building project involving the development of two warehouses, focusing on delivering innovative civil engineering solutions. A significant achievement of this project was attaining a 6-star Green Star rating, which included implementing comprehensive stormwater management strategies.Key responsibilities included:Engaging directly with clients and coordinating with multidisciplinary consultants to ensure seamless integration of designs throughout the construction phase.Collaborating with government agencies to secure Resource Consent, Building Consent, and EPA approvals.Conducting site inspections and working closely with contractors to address and resolve on-site issues and discrepancies.

My main project has been on a development of a new embankment and footpath on a coastal road, spanning 120m in length; to improve road stability and pedestrian access. This major project was given to me to bring to construction, with the internal workforce. The gateway system has been adopted for the project, my involvement started from gateway 0 (Project Inception) through to Gateway 2 & 3 (Design stage/Preparation of Contract). The development is within several Sites of Special Interest (SSIs) including archaeological and ecological zones, therefore heightened attention is required to ensure appropriate measures are adopted to satisfy the necessary government departments. Other responsibilities:- Developing policy for the Highway Asset Management Strategy.- Assessing & responding to flood risk assessments for planning applications. - Coastal Asset management, integrating GIS software with linked AutoCAD drawings, maintenance reports & SAP to accurately represent assets. - Coastal inspections, conducting visual inspections of coastal sea defences, critically analysing the condition of major sea defences.- Submitting planning application for small scale civil works.

This is a key role in the University of Portsmouth Sailing Club. Involving the coordination of all professional and competitive sailing, along with the organisation and leadership of a sub-committee. Within this role, I was able to liaise with the university and set up a successful long-term coaching scheme for multiple disciplines, at a cost in line with the assigned budget. The scheme was demonstrated to be highly effective with the club obtaining the highest BUSC points in the last 5 years. This illustrates my potential to be resourceful and utilise financial assets effectively.

Offering various sporting experiences to individuals of all standards, and working collaboratively with inclusivity campaigns such as 'This Girl Can'. Became the main contact for all social and development training sessions conducted by the club.

During this role, I managed and taught in bi-weekly beginner & intermediate sailing sessions. Utilizing the knowledge and skills from my pervious RYA Senior Instructor job; to further the development of the beginner and intermediate sailors in the club. Jointly, using the sessions to train skilled members on the standard of training for future years, and the procedures they must adopt due to our operating area falling within Portsmouth's naval harbour.

A summer placement in the Highway and Coastal Engineering department. I was tasked with the preliminary design of 11 bus shelter locations. Including: - AutoCAD drawings, to be put out to tender - Preparations of NEC3 (Short Contract) - Liaising with service companies - Following UK Building RegulationsOther Project:- Night shifts shadowing the project manager for the repair and maintenance of the Jersey Airport runway.- Feasibility and initial of disability access ramp, conforming to UK Building Regulations. - Site Engineer for the construction of a 520-metre foul sewer improvement supplying numerous dwellings.-1 week placement at the wastewater treatment plant, conducting the maintenance and inspection of specialist equipment.
