With a direct team of 15 and additional consultancy support, responsibilities included financial support in the contractual negotiations associated with the divestment of TSB Bank from Lloyds Banking Group (‘Project Verde’), management of a project accounting team supporting the Group’s ‘Simplification’ programme (£1 billion spend over three years, 50+ projects), and management of finance systems and transformation teams.

Management of finance business partners, supporting the Application Development directorate within the Group IT division (cost base in excess of £500m).

Working within the Commercial Banking division, the role supported the Mid-Market segments and reported jointly to the Head of Segments and the UK Commercial CFO. A full member of the Regional Directors Management Committee. Turnover for the segment was £1 billion per annum, with assets and liabilities in excess of £30 billion, and a diverse product base including lending, deposits, trade services, credit card services, foreign exchange, insurance and investments.
