LNG NL, in partnership with the Miawpukek First Nation is a Newfoundland and Labrador-owned and operated corporation focused on permitting and developing LNG infrastructure needed to monetize significant stranded natural gas in the Jeanne d'Arc Basin, offshore Newfoundland and Labrador. The Project proposes to export LNG to high-demand markets in Europe, which will create jobs in our province, bolster rural development, and help diversify the energy industry. Served on volunteer boards and for charitable organizations including the Nature Conservancy of Canada, the Institute of Corporate Directors of Canada, the Atlantic Institute of Market Studies, and the Innu Healing Foundation. An advocate for strong corporate governance and helped co-found the NL Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Passionate lifelong learner.Two graduate degrees including a MBA from Kellogg-Schulich which included studies in Canada, the US and China. In 2008 earned a Master of Oil and Gas Studies (MOGS) from Memorial University. The cohort studied the Oil & Gas industry in Canada, in the North Sea (UK) and in the Middle East (Oman). Oil & Gas is of vital importance to the economy of Canada, supports as many as 500,000 jobs, and internationally, Canada is regarded as a responsible producer with strict standards. A penchant for quality cuisine, while struggling to improve culinary skills in a complex and tough craft!Goal of completing a marathon on all seven continents. Completed marathons on five continents, including Everest Marathon - an international high-altitude adventurous sports event held on May 29th each year from Mount Everest Base Camp criss-crossing the high Sherpa Trails of Khumbu Valley. This event celebrates the historical successful ascent of Mount Everest by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa & Sir Edmund Hillary on May 29, 1953. Completed Ironman competitions and an ultra-marathon and trekked to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro (the Roof of Africa).
