• Conduct quarterly claim reviews with clients and brokers on large dedicated accounts.• Conduct initial contacts with claimants, employers, and physicians, obtaining statementsnecessary to determine compensability.• Identify subrogation and contribution potential and refer to the appropriate units asneeded.• Investigate claims that require further AOE/COE work up prior to issuing acceptance/denial.• Review files and post reserves that adequately reflect exposure for the entire life of theclaim.• Calculate and administer indemnity benefits in accordance with the Labor Code.• Manage legal process on litigated claims (PQME med-legal, defense attorney referralsfor DORs, working claims up for settlement).• Maintain proper diaries to so as to ensure effective handling of all files.

• Serve as liaison between physician and various institutions, including Skilled NursingFacilities, other physician’s offices, and insurance companies.• Oversee reception area, including greeting patients, patient intake, scheduling, andanswering incoming calls.• Responsible for health insurance claims/billing, patient insurance benefits, and patient preauthorizationforms.• Maintain confidential files according to HIPPA standards, such as patient notes, medicalhistories and diagnoses.• Handle all things pertaining to business finances, including business ledger via MicrosoftExcel, accounts payable/receivable, patient invoices and insurance payments.• Responsible for processing payroll and monthly IRS payroll taxes through Intuit.• Manually calculate and submit quarterly State of CA EDD taxes.• In charge of ordering and maintaining inventory of all office and medical supplies.
