Leo Thomas is a cultural heritage and archaeology consultant with experience in both field excavation and survey, as well as Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Leohas undertaken research in advanced computation for Archaeology, focused on terrestrial and submerged landscape reconstruction, movement and site prediction for Orkney. Leo has worked extensively on archaeological sites in London, southern England and the Channel Islands. These represent a wide range of site types, not limited to: burial grounds/mortuary landscapes, built heritage, deep stratigraphy urban, coastal, multi-period, and waterlogged. Leo worked as an expert archaeological technician, supervisor, manager, and educator. Both commercially and academically, Leo has been involved in designing, coordinating and implementing, training and education at all levels from school volunteers to post-graduates. Following the completion of a GIS MSc, Leo has focused on the application of GIS to cultural heritage management.
