• Supported customers on WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac consumer products. The support involved schematic/layout review, board bring-up, Tx calibration, debugged power-up sequence issues, debugged customer test setup issues, debugged Tx EVM & Mask issues, debugged Rx desense issues due to DC-DC switching harmonics and crystal harmonics, and debugged radiated antenna throughput issues. • Supported 26 customers between May 2017 and Sept 20, 2018. My five most significant contributions were on the cost-reduction program of Amazon Echo, Arris Xi6 for Comcast, Bose home speaker system, iRobot Roomba, and Sony digital camera.• Worked with cross-functional teams: RFIC design, system design, power management, application processor, test automation, software, Phy/Algorithm, sales and marketing, program management, RMA team, and equipment vendors.• Worked with LitePoint to develop an automated test for WiFi receiver ACS blocking using Litepoint’s IQ XEL-160 and Litepoint IQFact+ Calibration & Verification Test Automation software. • Transferred from the CSR Bluetooth team to Qualcomm 802.11ad 60GHz team in October 2016 to support Apple, but after 6 months, the program was canceled and then, I transferred to the WiFi team in May 2017. • The 802.11ad 60GHz work consisted of supporting Apple with Engineering samples and assisted the test automation team with proving-out QRCT (manual testing) and QSPR (automated testing) of the Rx and Tx paths using LitePoint and Keysight test equipment. Also, assisted Apple with building and testing antenna radiated Rate Vs. Range test setups using in-house made mobile anechoic chambers. • Wrote Bluetooth non-signaling test scripts for Rohde & Schwarz CBT using Python for testing Rx and Tx performance to better correlate with our customers’ non-signaling testing that they perform in the production line on CSR Bluetooth LE/Classic/EDR.

CSR, San Jose, CA• Qualcomm acquired CSR in August 2015.• Provided dedicated support to Apple and Google on seven Bluetooth projects: Apple TV remote control, iPad Pro Pencil, Apple + 3rd party partner wireless game controller, Beats PILLS+, Power Beats in-ear headphones, Beats Solo2 headphones, and Google Bluetooth Pendant. • Supported customers in schematic/layout review, board bring-ups, debugged test setup issues at customer site, assisted in debugging sensitivity issues due to PLL lock up issues. • Worked with software and system integration teams to quickly root cause the problem and find a solution. • All programs except for one entered mass production.

WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and BT

• Worked with team of three Principal Hardware Engineers on an aggressive schedule to develop Broadcom’s first 2G/3G/4G engineering board using BCM21892 Modem IC for software development, calibration, and performance evaluation. Assisted in RF component selection. Responsible for RF schematic and RF layout section for RF frontend to support Quad band GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, Rx Carrier Aggregation LTE Band 1/2/4/5/7/8/14/17/38/40, TD-SCDMA Band 34 & 39, and WCDMA Band 1/2/5/8. • Involved in the bring-up, debugging, RF matching, and calibration of BCM21892 engineering board. Supported our Phy/Algorithm software, RF software driver, calibration, digital interface, and RF system teams.• Optimized LTE Band 4 and Band 17 Rx sensitivity and Tx performance on Broadcom’s BCM21892 Thin-modem data card.

• Beceem was acquired by Broadcom in November 2010.• Developed WiMAX reference board designs for CPE and USB dongle form factors and frequency bands from 2 to 4GHz. • Supported customers in schematic/layout review, board bring-up, characterization, Rx and Tx calibration, and debugged Rx desense issues due to WiMAX System clock crystal harmonics and 25MHz Ethernet system clock harmonics. • Supported Motorola on their 2.5 – 2.7GHz WiMAX CPE with Rx desense and Tx noise issues caused by PCB layout.• Provided extensive engineering support to Gemtek on their 2.5 – 2.7GHz WiMAX CPE in terms of Layout,shielding, Tx PA optimization, Rx and Tx calibration. Clearwire selected Gemtek’s 2.5 – 2.7GHz CPE for the U.S. market, and this project generated over $12 million from Q3, 2009 to Q2, 2010.• Also supported RFIC, baseband, calibration, software, marketing, and physical layer/algorithm team in debugging/testing to find the root cause of problems and find solution.

• Developed a reference design for WiMAX 802.16d/e using Maxim RFICs. • Supported customers with LNA/Mixers for cellular phones, I/Q down-converters and up-converters, power amplifier for WiFi 2.4GHz 802.11b, CDMA 2000 receiver and transmitter IC, WCDMA receiver and transmitter IC, and WiFi 802.11a/b/g transceiver IC evaluation boards.• Contributed to the design of a dual-mode cellular and PCS CDMA superheterodyne reference design using Maxim’s RFICs sub-system components for receiver and transmitter. Optimized Rx and Tx path from antenna input to Rx and Tx I/Q baseband interface.

• Designed CDMA high-power amplifiers for base station application at cellular and PCS bands.• Exposure to module design of ultra-linear amplifiers using feed-forward linearization techniques.• Manually performed source and load-pull of class AB 30, 45, and 60W LDMOS power transistors to characterize input and output impedance regions for optimum gain, gain flatness, power, efficiency, and intermodulation distortion characteristics.
