As the Founder and Director of a Cornerstones Jeugdzorg I am responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and operations of the organization. My expertise in professional foster care, combined with my passion for helping children and families in need, aids me in helping to create a safe and supportive environment for all those involved in the youth care system: children, families and professionals. My role includes overseeing programs, building partnerships with community organizations, managing finances, and recruiting, training and supporting a team of dedicated professionals.

The Care Architect is a consultancy firm offering services to organisations in the social care sector.We conduct Serious Case Reviews where we are responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of complex cases involving vulnerable individuals, such as children and young people. Using the PRISMA method we gather and analyse information, identify areas of improvement, and make recommendations to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. Our focus on safeguarding ensures that the needs and safety of vulnerable individuals are at the forefront of all decision-making processes.Further we offer Quality and Change Management consultancy. Our role is to guide organisations through complex transformations to improve performance and achieve their goals. We help organisations analyse processes, develop and implement change strategies, and monitor results. We assist organizations to promote continuous improvement, drive innovation, and achieve their desired outcomes, while also ensuring that their people and processes are prepared for change.Finally we are specialised in helping social care organisations develop, implement and monitor strategies for equity, diversity (EDB). This involves advising organisations on how to provide inclusive and equitable services to individuals from diverse backgrounds. We can provide training for staff on cultural competency and diversity, review policies and procedures to ensure they are non-discriminatory, and providing guidance on how to address and prevent discrimination and bias in the delivery of social care services. Our goal is to ensure that all individuals receiving services are treated with dignity, respect, and receive the care they need, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other personal characteristic. This leads to improved service delivery and positive outcomes for individuals receiving care.

As a University Teacher in Pedagogy Studies, I am excited to be involved in helping to deliver education which increases the understanding of child and adolescent growth and development, the role of context in child and youth development, and the role that the youth care and child protection can play in the lives of young people and their families. My expertise in the field, combined with my passion for education, drives me to create dynamic and engaging learning experiences for my students. My role includes delivering a small number of lectures, facilitating discussions, supporting student internship experiences, supervising research theses, conducting research, and assessing student performance. I am committed to preparing the next generation of professionals to make a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families.

As a professional foster parent, my work involved providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive home environment for children who have been removed from their families due to abuse, neglect, or other circumstances. My role was to provide temporary care for these children, helping them to feel safe, secure, and valued, and to support their emotional, social, and developmental growth. I worked closely with other professionals, such as social workers and therapists, to provide a comprehensive and integrated approach to the care of each child. I also ensured connection with birth families and collaborated with schools, and other community resources to ensure that the children and young people receive the support they need to thrive.

As the CEO of an iEARN UK (International Education and Resource Network in UK) education charity, I was responsible for the overall leadership and management of the organization. My role included:- Developing and implementing the organization's strategy and vision to improve education for children and youth in the UK and in partnership with other iEarn participating countries globally. - Building partnerships with governments, organisations, and institutions to support the implementation of programs and initiatives.- Securing funding and resources to support the organisation’s mission and initiatives.- Managing and supporting the staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality programs and services.- Representing the organisation and its mission to stakeholders, including government officials, partners, and the general public.

As an Education Consultant for the British Council, I focused on the Connecting Classroom project. I provided advice and guidance to educational institutions, educators, and students on the best practices and strategies for delivering the Connecting Classroom programme. As a result I was responsible for:Assessing existing online education programs and making recommendations for improvement.Providing training and support for educators on how to effectively teach and engage students in an online setting.Guiding institutions on the implementation of the Connecting Classrooms technology tools and platforms to support online education.Developing and delivering professional development programs for educators on best practices in online education.Advising institutions on policy and regulatory compliance for online education programs.
