As a continually improving developer, I have had great opportunities to expand on my programming skillset and experiences at Duncan Aviation and the State of Nebraska. I also love to learn about the finer things in programming by checking out new (to me) topics that I find interesting. Currently I am mastering C++ and hope to someday soon use the skills I am learning about the language and other low-level computer science topics in an employment opportunity and in my own game engine. At Duncan Aviation I have had the opportunity to test my ability to adapt and grow quickly in response to a new position. In a short period of time I have been able to become competent in Angular, TypeScript, Node.JS, and best development practices for a commercially viable e-commerce application. I am proud of the work I have done there and my ability to learn the vast array of topics I have had the opportunity to gain experience in at Duncan. Previously I was employed by the State of Nebraska. My time there has led me to develop and maintain dozens of integral Java web applications to the day to day operations of the government. The State was an excellent place to start my career and gave me great insight into professional software development and how to write good code efficiently while within a highly bureaucratized environment. While working with the State, I also had the exciting opportunity to develop a Python data analysis library using Pandas and Seaborn for usage in a report accepted by the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists.
