About Leo Cooper

I have over five years’ experience of working in the Hospitality and Events industries, gained through working in an array of pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants, hotels and outdoor entertainment venues, and as such have acquired a great deal of knowledge and experience. I have a strong interest in events management and have successfully coordinated/managed a number of one-off and reoccurring events with an extremely successful record.     I was hired to organise and run an event for the local council as part of a two week festival celebrating the town. The event, running at capacity with 300 people, included a full bar and food service, dance floor, ticket office, themed decorations, country band and barn dance style 'caller', all inside a 5000 square foot marquee. I was responsible for organising this event from scratch, including taking full responsibility and liability for risk assessments, public liability insurance, alcohol/temporary events licensing, dealing with subcontractors and the health and safety of all staff and customers.
