On the VS Customer Success Team I acted as a conduit between customers doing interesting work with Microsoft tooling and a teams at Microsoft delivering the tools. I would spend weeks working directly in the customers codebase helping develop their deliverables. At the same time I would provide feedback to various Microsoft teams about our shared experience - documentation gaps, bugs, missing features, etc. Customer engagements were widely variable, but a couple more interesting ones were:1. Worked with a customer to deliver a Cordova-based mobile app. --Created mobile app that consumed public service endpoints to deliver user data--Worked closely with customers to deliver a compelling end user experience--Leveraged Visual Studio Cordova tooling, and a variety of JavaScript frameworks like Ionic--Helped clarify requirements for the Visual Studio Tools for Apache Cordova based on the customer experience2. Worked closely with Azure DevTest Labs (DTL) team to define and implement the ImageFactory pattern for enterprise DTL customers--Defined an automated/refresh-able process that enterprises could use to set up virtual machines for their developer environments--Delivered ImageFactory scripts and documentation to publicize the pattern--Delivered DTL "Artifacts" to provide standardized installation of various applications--Scripts were published externally at https://github.com/Azure/azure-devtestlab/tree/master/samples/DevTestLabs/Scripts/ImageFactory --Image Factory pattern is described at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/solutions/architecture/dev-test-image-factory/

Early in my Microsoft career I wrote thousands of C# API tests for an object-relational persistence system.Lead developer on the test tooling used by hundreds of internal test authors. Designed, implemented and maintained a library of C# test tools and patterns that were used throughout the Dynamics Ax ecosystem.Technical lead for my team, then for a group of teams, then for the broader group. I reviewed countless lines of code and design documentation.
