Using different electro-optical modulators in cascaded arrangements, the main goal was to achieve optical combs with uniform amplitudes of the spectral lines. Mathematical models were implemented in Python and unsupervised learning algorithms were used to analyze the generated data. The results were tested experimentally and the documented results were published.Secondary projects1. Software development for FTTH networks (Mar - July 2023):Engaged in a dynamic project focused on developing software for simulating and calculating budgets in passive optical networks. Implementing innovative algorithms to optimize the use of optical fibers, contributing to advances in optical network planning and resource management.2. Big data and machine learning in COVID-19 research (Mar - July 2021):Played a central role in a collaborative research initiative that utilized computational tools for Big Data analysis during the Covid-19 pandemic in Peru. Utilized Python, the Pandas library, and KMeans for predictive analytics to present a multidisciplinary approach to understanding and addressing the impact of the pandemic.Contribution to other research projects:1. Characterization of the frequency noise of semiconductor lasers: Actively participated in a study to analyze frequency noise in semiconductor lasers using the self-homodyne method. Utilized computational methods to experimental data to successfully identify different types of noise, including Lorentz and Gaussian noise.2. Optical fiber coupling with conical microlenses:Project to characterize fibers with conical microlenses. The focus was on their performance in lateral coupling with optical chips. Use of mode modeling in Lumerical software to evaluate their efficiency. -
