I am responsible for all global Intellectual Property and Brand Protection matters for the Business. And I provide counsel for all advertising and media, including print, digital, social, and television, for North America, APAC, and LATAM.

Preparing/prosecuting U.S. utility and design patent applications in varied arts. Managing large, active global docket to sync with budgetary and strategic business objectives. Drafting a broad spectrum of contracts, including confidentiality, joint development, collaboration, service, licensing, and university research agreements. Leading outside patent preparation, litigation, and opposition counsel.

Prepared and prosecuted patent applications in varied arts. Developed holistic intellectual property acquisition and enforcement strategies.

Directed successful Zinc/Air battery development and manufacturing programs, resulting in higher-performing batteries, environmentally-friendly battery components, and decreased product scrap rates. Led technical aspects of Zinc/Air outsourcing, delivering annual savings of $5.3MM, along with a superior technology platform from which to grow the Hearing Aid business. Identified root causes of, and solved, product issues that caused a global product recall. Coached customers in Western Europe and Asia by providing Zinc/Air battery technology seminars. Total Zinc/Air battery sales increased by about 30MM batteries/year due in part to these efforts.

Developed new equipment and established analytical chemistry services business for a semiconductor abatement equipment manufacturer.
