My name is Leo Kraushaar, and I'm a computing science undergraduate with a focus in statistics.🎓 I study at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, set to graduate in 2025.💼 I'm a member of the talented Business Intelligence team at GroupHEALTH benefit solutions, where I've learned more than I could have ever hoped to - and not just technical knowlege!📈 My previous experience in the field of data science has fortified my studies and expanded my skill set:📖 At the University of Alberta, I've had the ongoing opportunity to be a course and curriculum developer for their newest computing science offering, CMPUT 195. The course, Intro to Data Science, provides Python-experienced students with the opportunity to expand into the field of data science with packages such as Pandas and Scikit, as well as an introduction to statistical methods applicable to the emerging disciplines of AI and ML.✏️ I've also had the opportunity to assist in the writing of 195's new textbook, Introduction to Principles and Techniques of Data Science.🤖 I am an avid hackathon competitor, having participated in the development of projects in the fields of neuroscience and psychology, honing my skills in backend development (using Django and SQLite).💻 In my spare time, I like to pursue personal data-driven projects, such as:💹 Using technical analysis methods such as RSI and Bollinger Bands to predict stock market trends👟 Leveraging web scraping libraries to monitor online clothing marketplace pricing and model its fluctuations🌴 When I'm not crunching numbers, you can catch me:🍳 Trying new recipes⚽ Practicing my free kicks♟️ Looking for checkmate
