Study on Deep Learning about Convolutional Neural Networks trained to automatically colorize grayscale images.• Grayscale images were colorized using state-of-the-art pre-trained models.• The results were compared to the original colored images and evaluated according to quantitative metrics such as SSIM, PSNR and MSE.• A social experiment was also developed in order to verify if volunteer were able to discriminate colorized pictures from real photos.

Responsible for the extraction and manipulation of satellite image data provided by the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRRM).• Evaluation of the satellite's measurements through comparisons between TRMM data and rain gauge data provided by inland stations.• Extraction of a time series extending from 1998 to 2014 using OpenGrads and the comparisons were derived through Microsoft Excel and R.
