As an Assistant Language Teacher at the Otsuki Elementrary School and Junior High School, I assist the Japanese teachers of English in lesson planning, lesson delivery and classroom management. In addition to classroom duties, I also create supplementary instructional and promotional library material to support the learning of English.

As the Subject Head for History and Social Studies, my role was to:1. Plan and implement curriculum for the school.2. Mentoring of teachers in the History/Social Studies team.3. Spearhead the creation of field trips, with an emphasis on real world learning and innovative use of technology.

As a Curriculum Planning Officer, I helped oversee the development of new syllabi for General Paper, English Literature and Knowledge & Inquiry at the Pre-University Level.In addition, I was part of the organising committee for the Pre-University Seminar, which is a gathering of students from Junior Colleges and Polytechnics to discuss matters of pertaining to Singapore.As part of the Singapore Writer's Festival, I also served as emcee at Class Act's 2, a showcase of works from local educators.

I taught General Paper, English Literature and Project Work to both JC1 and JC2 students.For CCA, I was one of the teachers in charge of the drama club.I was also part of the Student Development committee, helping to organise student trips to OBS Taiwan and community service trips to Indonesia as part of their character and leadership development.
