Right now I'm enrolled at University of North Texas to earn a B.A. in Professional and Technical Communication, having already completed an Associate of Arts at Collin College. Learning second languages, like Spanish and Japanese, is a priority, both for my self-enrichment and ability to provide employers strong skills and attitude for their work. I'm aiming to work in software localization, ideally for entertainment but also business and non-profit organizations, where a flexible tool-set and ethic will help most. My goal is to learn as much as possible about nuts and bolts of professional communication, both to improve my personal writing and better understand organizational skills and practices. Putting myself in the perspective of any audience is rewarding and important, such that I've gravitated towards this field so I can help inform others in new and beneficial ways.Currently I'm seeking technical writing and assistance internships in the Dallas-Forth Worth area. I'm skilled with both Apple and Microsoft office suites, as well as tools like Notepad++, HTML5/CSS3, and WordPress. Getting experience as a proofreader in copywriting, or coordinating usability tests for products, would mutually benefit. I’ve experimented with content strategy in my spare time. For example, I’ve written manual text file templates, each fitting different audiences and purposes (i.e. how sound producers can authentically record MIDI track data).
