Managed the expenditure for the procurement of school and office furniture, science equipment and related supplies. Budgetary allocations for the Procurement Unit ranged from JMD$100Million to JMD$500Million annually.Managed the supply chain for the distribution of thousands of text books, science equipment, school and office furniture and other supplies to approximately 1,000 public educational institutions island-wide.Managed the system of acquiring tax and duty waivers from the Ministry of Finance, Planning and the Public Service and Customs Department for imported/donated goods.Managed the logistical operations of the Ministry’s offsite warehouse facility.Monitored the procurement activities of other divisions of the Ministry, Regional Offices and Agencies and presented Quarterly Contract Awards (QCA) reports to the Office of the Contractor General.Monitored the routine operations of the Procurement Unit and oversaw and/or participated in the review and evaluation of the work of staff members.
