In March of 2022, I retired from the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community Senate. I served on the senate for 20 years (4 - 5 year terms).At the end of May 2022, I resigned from my job with the tribe, as Enrollment Director.In June 2022, I started a new job at the tribes Didgwalic Wellness Center as Outreach Director. We are a Medication Assisted Treatment center. We save and change lives.My previous work experience has been mainly with my tribe, Swinomish. In the late 70's I worked on the tribes fish traps. In the late 80s, I worked at the tribes bingo hall and I later took a job as assistant recreation director. For the next 7 years I worked for Ward's Cove Packing in Alaska. In 95, I was hired back at the tribe as a clerk in the housing administration. In 97, I moved to a court clerk positon. In 2002, I applied and was hired as office manager for the Swinomish Health clinic. Then in 2007, I was hired as the tribes enrollment director.I believe my work experience helped in my elected position, as a senator for my tribe.
