By this time I was proud to say I have been to every race track in England (there's quite a few!)I enjoyed my time with Debbie until she moved to Qatar to train.

Decided to move back to the North to be closer to family and where Robert had just moved over from training for Sheikh Mohammed in Dubai. I missed Newmarket and moved back!!!

This was a Job Change as I was starting to get too heavy to race ride as a 6ft guy doing the weight on the flat was a struggle and had always wanted to aim my Horse Racing Career towards Training Horses.I had a great time in this role being involved in buying horses for family and assisting Tommy in training.We had great success with horses like Sovereign Nation.

Amazing trainer that I learned a lot from especially around placing horses and in the right company, I was privileged to have ridden as an Amateur Jockey for this Stable and travel a lot of horses to the races it has been great to be involved with fantastic Race Horses.

Rode my first winner on Skydome @ the age of 17yrs old.Was extremely privileged to ride some amazing Race Horses the likes of: Mensa who went on to win the Hong Kong Derby Renamed, Industrialist.Even Top who just got beat in 2000 Guineas to Mark Of Esteem and the likes of Royal Applause, Danehill Dancer finishing behind us. (it was a great race with most of the runners going on to stallion duties)In 1998 i was in the top 10 leading Flat Amateur Riders in England.
