Responsibilities include:•Assisting individuals with activities of daily living and personal care, promoting their independence and dignity.•Filing, sorting, and maintaining a majority of patient paperwork from admission to discharge.•Monitoring and documenting patient behavior, collaborating closely with the clinical team to adjust treatment plans as necessary.•Effectively managing crisis situations through the application of de-escalation techniques, ensuring the safety and emotional stability of clients.•Engaging patients in therapeutic activities and exercises, contributing to their emotional and cognitive growth.

Mental health issues counseled include but are not limited to: suicide, domestic abuse, eating disorders, self-harm and depression.Through creating a dialogue with texters looking for help, I assist in deescalating those in a crisis. I provide compassionate, non-judgmental support using active listening, building rapport, collaborative problem-solving, safety planning, and exploring one's goals and options.
