- General Engineering manufacturing- Construction of Hot Foil Stamping machines for Food and General Industries both Domestic and International- Programming and Operating a Mori Seki CNC Milling Machine using Mastercam on a PC workstation to draw then program the machining jobs.- Programming and Operating a CNC Lathe using Mastercam on a PC Workstation to draw then program the machining jobs.- Provide basic IT Support of the companies Servers and Workstations on site at Waterloo and liase with the contracted IT company - CompuServe IT (later to become Professional IT) when a higher support level was required.

- Construction of Jigs of Fixtures- Construction of metal cutting dies- Maintenance of high speed Lamination Dies- Maintenance of standard metal cutting dies- Maintenance of Bakelite Injection Moulds- Learnt how to use a Mazac Quick Turn 10 CNC lathe and started manually programming machining jobs to completed.- Learnt how to program Heidenhahn controller retro fitted to a Cincinatti Milling Machine and programmed various machining jobs.- Promoted to Leading Hand in the Short Order section managing workers who ran small production runs of parts for the manufacture of Electricity Meters.

Indentured as a Fitter & Turner and went on to complete the Toolmaking Post trade course in the final year of my apprenticeship.
