Currently I am Self Employed as Busy Bees Services. Handling light engineering work as well as handyman services. Whilst this part of my career has been the most fun, my roots have been somewhat different. As you will notice it has been interesting and fun as wellI enjoy every aspect of Engineering. Especially assignments calling for in depth analysis of facts and achievement of specified goals. I like to work independently and need the authority to act independently and re-examine/retest results.I enjoy working to targets and deadlines, as well as setting and maintaining standards.My working life has given me both the theoretical and the practical sides of Mechanical Engineering. I can thus bring an appreciable amount of knowledge and experience to the table in any endeavor. I have had experience in many fields as Production Manager, Technical Manager, Technical Sales Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and Procurement Manager at various stages of my career. I am fully conversant with ISO 9000 and am Computer literate. I am conversant with some CAD packages.I have been Project leader on a number of in-house Projects, even in creating a whole new manufacturing unit for a specific range of fastener products.Up until my relocation to South Africa, I was Chairman of the Engineering Iron and Steel Association of Zimbabwe (EISAZ) Western Region. As such I represented EISAZ on a number of NEC Engineering (National Employment Council) committees. E.g. The GEC - General Engineering Council, the National Executive (Board), and DNN - Draughting and Negotiating Committee (wage increases), and I am presently the Chairman of the Code of Conduct/Exemptions Committee.I was the Works Director of the Company I worked for in Zimbabwe and had, reporting to me, a workforce of over 300. Departments I had directly under my control were Human Resources, Production, SHE, Engineering, Projects, Purchasing and Planning.I am a South African Citizen.
