As a Sales manager at a National wholesaler, the bulk of my time was spent Cold calling end users such as Food companies, Engineering companies paper mills etc. This means that I musthave good quality people skills to enable myself to strike up good relationships with people.My main duties were liaising with Engineering and Maintenance departments to help them source specialist control equipment and other products that are not readily available from other wholesalers, the key to this role is providing excellent service. In such a reactive roll a lot of time has been spent researching products to offer in cases where Old products have become obsolete.
