Technical activities included all security related services/systems and signal boosting. Designing, installations, fault finding, repairs, programming, software uploads, demonstration of systems, IT setup for clients, travelling, meetings with potential clients, on-call. From first contact to handover, being in the field and in close contact with my customers gives me huge satisfaction.

I was responsible for the design, selection of relevant equipment and quoting, maintenance, installation, programming and fault finding of mainly intruder alarm systems for commercial clients. I had to compile detailed reports of the state of alarm systems before and after intrusions. Stock quantities and recons. Protect the cash offices of leading retail stores in rural areas. I had to summarize job cards, keep a logbook of travelling and send reports to head office on a weekly basis. I reported to my Regional Manager. I drove a lot in the area that was allocated to me which was the entire Northern Kwa Zulu Natal. I was on stand-by 24/7.
