Accountable for the effective operation and maintenance of Suncor’s cable plant throughout numerous Suncor facilities within North America. Provide key input into future infrastructure network strategy, responsible for identifying and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and lead planning required to prepare for the implementation of changes required to support strategy and continuous improvement initiatives including: * Lead the governance of the Cable Plant Services contract; monitor and guide the Outsource Network Stream for Cable Plant Technologies, with the goal to achieve the best performance and quality while reducing cost * Contribute to defining standards, policies and processes, which simplifies or reduces risk to the environment; safeguard the Cable Plant as part of Reliability and Operational Excellence * Work with outsourcing partners and vendors to plan and execute on all cable management activities including, but not limited to, fiber schedules, break/fix, Quality Assurance and Quality Control * Manage and maintain standardized documentation, and ensure projects and business changes follow the standards or process for technical deviations * Ensure vendor support and maintenance aligns with business expectations * Lead network technology actions through the Effectiveness Framework processes (event management, incident management, problem management, availability management, change management, knowledge management, request fulfillment, and service continuity management * Evaluate new technologies and trends and provide analysis of adoption to

Responsibilities Include:• Interpretation and enforcement of Industry and Suncor Corporate Technical Standards, policies and procedures.• Consulting - Professional and technical guidance for EPCs engineering teams, *software design & implementation teams, Suncor Business Unit management representatives and the Suncor Team Lead Cable Plant. *(Asset Data Lifecycle Program software, Suncor Corporate Software deployment scheduled to go live Q4 2019. Asset Management Software Solution for Suncor Corporate cable plant fibre optic sustainment.) • Leadership and management of the Suncor Plant 88 Document control team. Implementing team goals, work flows & processes, reviews & sign off, collaboration and technical support.• Mandatory reviews providing technical corrections on engineering / construction work packages specific to cable plant infrastructures.• Member of the Suncor peer review network providing technical to the Suncor Corporate Technical Standards management group, assisting with the development and revision updates of Suncor corporate technical standards, policies and procedures.• Mandatory review of project bill of material items for Suncor Corporate Cable Plant compliance.• Mandatory review of technical deviations impacting Suncor Corporate Cable Plant.• Management & sustainment of the Suncor Cable Plant controlled engineering records data base.• Manage Suncor’s corporate sustainment & operational fiber reservations for internal Suncor business units.• Research new technologies that could provide benefit to Suncor’s corporate cable plant infrastructures.

Develop Telecommunications Information Transport Systems (ITS) Infrastructure engineering work packages; providing clients with design and consulting services related to the industrial application of fiber optic and copper telecommunications network infrastructures.Primary focus detailing the layout, design and maintenance of Information Transport System networks and infrastructures.

Telecommunications Field Technician.Responsibilities Included:• Conducting Site Surveys assessing client requirements related to physical cable plant infrastructure and communication systems• Fiber optic, Cat 6 Cat 5e & Cat3 infrastructure design, installation and maintenance.• Installation of Nortel, Avaya and Cisco communication PABX systems• Project management and administration• Provide customer support and operational MAC orders supporting Nortel, Avaya and Cisco PABX phone systems
