Work Description and Key Responsibilities  Ability to decipher specific component boiler map drawings.  Ability to work in confined spaces and on heights while conducting critical Inspections.  Ability to use various inspection tools such as welding gauge, calibrated WT Machine.  Conduct inspections, critical and archival on various components, subcomponents and auxiliary components which pertain to all area’s inside the boiler.  Conduct visual and physical (touch) inspections to find out the ware, erosion, corrosion rates and find any type of consequential damage that may occur.  Capture findings on various specific inspection documents and liaise findings to the maintenance engineers and power station quality department.  Ability to work in high pressure environment, in difficult conditions such as noise, dust, ash and high temperatures.

Kendal Power Station
