Reporting to Division Vice President, responsible for strategic direction, product roadmaps, and strategic investments.• Lead TI DSP Strategic Initiatives and Investments, product positioning, and IP Licensing. Conceived and lead Project 119, the simultaneous launch of C6000 High Performance DSP and C5000 Low Power DSP product technology, the most significant TI product announcement in TI DSP history. • Drove investments in partners for DSP software and solutions complements to pursue new markets, including Hot Haus, Ibiquity, RadioScape, Ingenient, UB Video, Object Video, and others.• Active as a board of directors observer on invested companies. • Achieved 100+ design ins and over 500 % ROI via company acquisition exits. • Conceived strategy and drove implementation of eXpress DSP Software Technology, the first software infrastructure standard for DSP to simplify and accelerate software product development. This included acquisitions of Spectron and Go DSP. Firsts included standard real time O/S (DSPBIOS), XDAIS algorithm interface API standards, Visual Integrated Software Development Environment, optimizing C and C# DSP compilers, and high speed real time debug.• Drove the 3 ISA (Instruction Set Architecture) DSP platforms strategy for DSP software compatibility, scale, and revenue growth. This focused TI new DSP product development into these 3 ISAs (C6000, C5000, C2000) only, consolidated down from 14 different ISAs, to provide consistency, coherency, software reuse, and economies of scale to TI DSP software.• Established the original Emerging End Equipments growth business model for TI DSP.• Initiated and incubated the Digital Radio EEE and Hearing Audio DSP EEE business activity.
