Federal designated service area includes responsibility for ~100 donor hospitals and ~13 million lives across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Orange, Putnam and Dutchess counties for all clinical, operational and logistical efforts specific to the management of organ, eye and tissue donation.-Developed and executed strategic plan restructuring leadership, Board governance, operations and business models resulting in operational and financial turnaround of the organization (cited for nearly a decade as one of the poorest performing in the US) to a Top Performing OPO (Tier 1) within 12 months. *CMS Reported Data-April,2024 -Achieved a 50% increase in organ donors, tissue donors and organs transplanted/lives saved in 24 months, breaking city and state records.-Obtained recertification by CMS and FDA ending corrective action plan and observance by federal regulator (CMS) after nearly a decade.-Recruited and increased staff by 60% in 24 mos (Nurses, Paramedics, EMT’s, Social Workers, Physicians, Surgeons, etc.) to manage exponential growth in life honoring/saving strategies across the NY Metro Region.-Awarded Crain’s NY Business ‘Best Places to Work in NYC’ designation in 2022 & 2023 as well as the NYC Imagine Award for community service as a non-profit organization.-Received 15 proclamations from elected officials across NYS over 24 mos for the increase in lives saved with 5 official ‘LiveOnNY days’ named by elected officials across the NYC Metro region-Increased global media advocacy with over 6 Billion positive unpaid media impressions using PR & communications strategy and relationship management in 24 months.
