My professional career started back in 2001 when I became an intern for Simmons Media. My internship lasted all of 2 hours before I was asked to fill in for one of their on site producers who had just quit. I had a clean driving record and the ability to strike a conversation with just about anyone. That opened up my world to the industry of new media and marketing. I worked for 1280 "the zone" exclusively, but before I knew it, the on air talent for x96, kjq, and arrow 103.5 were asking for me for their remote broadcasts. That's when I knew I was doing something right. Whether it was my hardwork, general respect for coworkers and authority figures, or just my devastatingly amazing good looks, I was making a name for myself at Simmons. But before too long, I wanted more. So in 2004, I decided to do my own thing and with the connections that i had made over the past three years, utahsportsreport.com was created. It is something that turned from a hobby to 6 figures in the blink of an eye. Plus, I loved it. Now, with the economy taking a turn for the benign and my overall boredom with working from home, I decided to test the waters of free agency and looked for a job. Anything that got me out of the house and I could talk to people. It I found it. Sales. Fantastic!. At SAO, I have found that its about being motivated when there is no motivation. It's about selling when there isn't anything to sell, and getting people to buy when they don't have anything to buy. I love my job at SAO.
