I completed my general studies at Bethune-Cookman University, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology from Florida State University, a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Human Development from Troy State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Educational Leadership from Florida A&M University.I have thirty (30+) years of experiences in: 1. Assisting the Dean of Student Services in providing leadership and supervision for Student Services Programs which include student conduct, student assistance programs, early alert programs, ombudsmen services, student learning outcomes, retention, and student success services.2. Assisting the Dean of Student Services in the role of a judicial officer in regards to student conduct and discipline.3. Providing senior-level supervision, leadership, accountability, and management to ensure the effective operation of services, activities, personnel, and resources.4. Providing professional support and guidance to students with personal, social, behavior, and/or academic concerns that impair learning and college success, or pose a threat to the learning environment or the safety of the college community.5. Developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating special initiatives and services for underrepresented populations and increasing the retention and participation of high-risk populations, as well as those experiencing academic, personal, social, mental, and/or financial challenges. (e.g. early alert, learning communities, accelerated learning, alternative modalities, activity-based learning, & etc.6. Attending special admissions committee and threat assessment team meetings, as needed, to evaluate special student admissions and suspensions.7. Serving as operations director of a federally grant funded TRIO Program - Education Opportunity Center (EOC) in a tri-county district. 8. Proficient in teaching, management, supervision, and interpersonal skills.
