Over the past 16 years, I have been a full time clinician and have grown a robust clinical trial program at NJRetina. I have been the principal investigator for almost 100 trials and developed a good handle on the nuances of clinical trial design in ophthalmology and the existing body of data from completed trials. This familiarity has helped me serve as a consultant to early stage biotech companies designing their own trials and to firms interested in investing in early stage ophthalmology companies with pre-clinical and early human data.Recently, I have cut back in my clinical time to work as an advisor for Bain Capital Life Sciences where I hope to help identify and support companies with innovative medical products.
