Provided leadership, strategic direction and financial oversight of the 3rd party distribution, logistics, purchasing and supply chain integration companies that support the McDonalds U.S. business. Oversee $2B spend in logistics services from supplier to 32 distribution centers and from these centers to over 14,000 restaurants. World class delivery of fresh, dry and frozen goods to restaurants accomplished through collaboration and leveraging McDonalds, key supplier and 3rd party support resources to ensure consideration of all stakeholders when making short term and strategic decisions while managing change. Responsible for purchasing of restaurant operating supplies and negotiating 3rd party rates, calculating impact of any rate changes to food and beverage cost reporting to stakeholders and investors including Franchisees. Ensured 22 US Regions had the information and support necessary to drive sales, guest counts, and customer satisfaction from a supply chain perspective.• Created an environment and reinforcement model that drove supplier KPI’s and performance, resulting in average documented distribution savings between $20-$30M annually.• Conducted distribution category competitive validation and network optimization studies resulting in network changes and priorities for the upcoming years. • Managed/Directed outsourced freight provider that yielded a $35M/ year or 12% annual freight savings.• Set strategy and integral member in development and implementation of an integrated supply chain platform. The platform offered a single view of inventory & demand across the entire value chain from restaurants to suppliers. • Provided direction and leadership in the area of end-to-end integration with real time visibility at each node of supply chain to support the transition from frozen to fresh beef. This process is being expanded to other categories as it is yielding millions of dollars of savings while enhancing real time food safety tracking.
