Furbush is a technology startup which sells digital art commission software to graphic designers. As CTO of a technology startup, I was the full stack developer for the entire product. I designed and coded each prototype front-end and backend Node.js deployment. The frontend was designed in React with TailwindCSS. The backend was deployed using Google Cloud Platform products including, Cloud Run, Firestore, Identity Platform, and Cloud Storage. I used Remix.run as my middleware infrastructure to connect front to back with server side rendering for improved performance over prototype SPA. I also designed and modeled our document database to allow for flexibility during our constant iterations. The web application accepted payments through a Stripe API integration. Large files were handled via an API integration with Cloudinary.

Lead the development, implementation, and governance of a first of its kind integrated data system. With the knowledge that siloed data prevents organizations from achieving their full potential and impact, the Integrated Data Systems team developed custom Salesforce solutions for local nonprofits. In tandem with our custom solutions, we developed standardized integration patterns for API's which allowed the secure and timely sharing of data with staff and clients using nonprofit services.

As the IT Director I oversaw the foundation's entire technology and data infrastructure. During my first year, I saved the foundation over $17,000 by migrating most of our onsite servers to the cloud. I was responsible for the foundation’s infrastructure for self-hosted accounting and asset software which controlled and reported on over $250 million dollars in assets.

After Obama’s election the DNC embarked on a revitalized data collection and analytics campaign. As the State Data Director for Alaska, I was responsible for the DNC’s voter database and voter analytics for the state. This included collecting all publicly available datasets to train for machine learning, training all campaign staff on software and analytics, and overseeing the web applications and technology used for data collection.
