Figure Engineering develops advanced manufacturing technologies for sustainment, providing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions for the Aerospace and Defense industries. As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Figure Engineering, Leonard is responsible for the company's vision, oversight, and direction. In addition to his operational and program management responsibilities, Leonard provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to the Department of Defense (DoD) for multiple engineering initiatives focused on depot- and field-based MRO activities for aircraft, ground equipment, and infrastructure sustainment.

As a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. McCreary prosecuted automotive safety and control systems patents for technologies comprising airbags, crash restraints, collapsible steering columns, interior and exterior energy dissipation panels, impact sensors, human occupant detection and position detection sensors, traction control, and mechanical and drive-by-wire steering systems.

As a Quality and Safety Engineer at Altec, Inc. (formerly Alabama Truck Equipment Company), Mr. McCreary was responsible for the monumental task of developing and overseeing quality control during transition of pilot-scale production of newly developed truck-mounted cranes from Altec headquarters in Kansas City to full-scale production at a new heavy manufacturing facility in Virginia. During the same period, which included a massive hiring and training effort, the Virginia facility achieved the company's longest running days-without-safety-incident record.

Mr. McCreary supported steam turbine and valve manufacturing as a Final Assembly Engineer at GE Power Systems. Mr. McCreary gained admission into GE's prestigious Edison Engineering Development Program, during which time he earned his Six Sigma Green Belt certification. He served on the safety committee responsible for upholding the standards of OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) to achieve and maintain Star status, OSHA's highest recognition.
