As a territory manager with TEC I successfully acquired 11 new contractors in a limited amount of time. I was able to work with Business Development to help each company grow year over year. My job involved a lot of prospecting, research, and cold calling in order to acquire new contractors.

I was the general manager of a large HVAC contractor. I managed over 30 people between the office, the technicians, and the installers. We doubled our business in 5 years and grew with good margins. We also had lead generators in 4 Costcos where we had to take careful steps to assure the highest caliber of customer satisfaction.

As the General Manager of hhgregg our primary focus was customer satisfaction and our close rate. We needed to do our best to insure that each customer who walked in received the highest level of customer service and hopefully made a purchase. I would role play with my sales associates and create scenarios where the customer would not say "yes" and get.

In my time at Staples, my main talent was taking broken PC Tech benches and making them profitable. I was utilized throughout the district to help all stores grow a very profitable PC Tech business. The business was called EASYTech and it was in its infancy when I arrived. In 2008 we had the highest grossing store in the company.

In the store director role we had accountability over our P&L and our shrink. We also were launching the new Firedog program to combat Best Buy's Geek Squad. Firedog was a combination of the PC Tech business, car stereo installation, and home theater installation. I had experience in all three of these arenas so I was used to go to other stores to help.

I started out in the Audio department out of college and moved my way from Sales Manager to General Manager to District Install Trainer. Through each role I gained a further understanding of a Profit and Loss statement as well as how to take care of the customer. In my final role as a trainer I managed 11 car stereo install bays as well as the appliance.
