Organized "Poor People's Congress,” which aimed to raise awareness of issues before Congress that could impact low-income people. Held events at the U.S. Capitol, including weekly press conferences featuring speakers from anti-poverty organizations and a holiday meal for low-income people which was attended by more than 1,000. Activities received press coverage in a variety of media outlets including CNN and The Washington Post.
