I have taken on the role of DBA for our expanded teams' new SQL Servers, while also retaining most of the duties my previous role entailed. New tasks include installing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server on our remote servers, ensuring DB integrity, migration of completed work by team members from development to production, and improving database stability and performance whenever possible. This also includes establishing standard practices and new processes for teammates to follow and educating them on the what and the why of those standards, including DB structure, code reviews, and documentation of work. Have learned a great deal about SQL Server schema, SQL security, indexing, SQL Server Agent, database backup and restoring, standardizing data use, alternate ways to ETL, and SSIS management. These new databases are intended to be a hub for our entire organization so efficient management and accuracy is critical, as is flexibility to allow my teammates to do their jobs effectively.

Work inside the consulting organization on a small team dedicated to data tracking, management, and reporting, along with other organization project needs that arise, usually web or web-app based.
