As part of the Connolly and iHealth merger, this position increased my scope of responsibilities to include the global iHealth network team, 4 offices between India and the US, 2 data centers in the US and all connectivity inter-connecting them all. I also took ownership of all budgeting aspects of the iHealth voice and network infrastructure. Quickly worked to eliminate the legacy organizational silos of the network teams and created a unified voice and network operations team. This was an absolute must. iHealth had a heavy presence of business units located in India, requiring that the voice and network team be a true 24/7, follow-the-sun support team.Due to the increased responsibilities, I promoted two members on the team to Team Leads, to assist with managing the team's day-to-day workload, projects and other administrative work. After the merger, there was a rebranding initiative to rename the company. I was a member of the re-branding team, assisting the PMO and Strategic Marketing teams, by ensuring all necessary network, voice and other technical components and changes were in-place when the new company name was launched.

I transitioned into managing all aspects of the Connolly voice and network services team. I managed the operations of all voice and data network services across 30 Connolly offices and 2 data centers. Managed the planning and efforts to prepare the voice and networking infrastructure to accommodate the merger of Connolly and iHeatlh Technologies. As the Senior Network Engineer, my primary responsibility was to oversee the technical, procedural methods and approach to supporting and evolving the Connolly voice and data network. I led a team of engineers and administrators, providing technical mentoring and escalation support as necessary.The pace at which we were deploying new infrastructure and solutions caused a significant increase in outages, incidents and challenges overall and throughout. I saw this as an opportunity and further advance my technical involvement and became an even stronger partner and technical adviser to other technology areas within the IT Team. Led the effort of designing and building the new Connolly data center located in Connecticut. This consisted of a series of meetings and planning with vendors, partners and internal teams; to ensure the build met all necessary network requirements. I was involved in all initial architecture and operational design sessions for new applications and services other teams were considering. This allowed me exposure and influence into upcoming projects and ensuring they were built with all optimal functional considerations.As part of the practice of continuous improvement, identifying configuration defects and sub-optimal performance, I developed, performed and delegated many of the action plans necessary to revise, correct and optimize them.

As the Connolly's business portfolio expanded, the need to focus on evolving the infrastructure was apparent. Consider this to be the redefinition of Connolly's technology and services stack. This led to the creation of an official network team with focus specific to only supporting and managing Connolly's voice and data network.As the team's unofficial lead network engineer, I was challenged with reshaping and delivering designs that would enhance and optimize the operation of the network infrastructure. Many of these efforts were focused on scaling to meet the business growth and acceleration of services Connolly offered. Because of my broad experience in all technologies, I was a key influence in all aspects of the changes, upgrades and enhancements of Connolly's infrastructure.Security controls and frameworks were considered as part of all all new designs and sometimes were bolted onto the current infrastructure. These controls an frameworks included NIST, HIPAA and industry specific standard controls. Many network level controls and policies were implemented as part of our client audit controls findings and compliance policies.I evaluated all 30 of Connolly's remote site's methods used to connect back to data centers. The goal was to reinvent the connectivity strategy and create an optimized network standard that was multi-protocol, more effective and redundant.

This team was comprised of various technology SMEs with skills ranging in all areas of technology - networking, storage, systems and data center operations.
