Being the surgery scheduler at Northside Thoracic Surgery, my responsibilities involve but are not limited to conversing with patients about their procedures, scheduling appointments for their surgery work up, coordinating the surgery calendar and clinical days, keeping track of all surgical documentation, coordinating with other surgeon offices when a combo case was needed, also authorizing insurances. While being new in my role I have helped trained my coworker, I also took up the responsibility and adapted to learning how to submit our surgeries electronically while training our other coworkers how to schedule the surgeries electronically as well

As a Transporter in September 2020, it was my responsibility when transporting patients to make sure that I got them to their destination on time while emphasizing their safety, I decontaminated used equipment that were used for patients, replaced broken parts/beds, educated patients to where they were going and why they were going to such destinations, and assisted nurses in moving patients from stretchers to beds. After six months of hard work and pushing myself to stand apart I interviewed for the open supervisor position and was promoted, my new responsibilities involved dispatching calls to fellow employees, conducting performance reviews, leading out team meetings, conducting inventory and equipment requests, monitored department relationship building between the transportation and various other departments we interacted with in the hospital, monitored client relationship building to make sure we were treating them with the upmost care and safety, assisting in transports when helped was needed, provided training/educating new and current employees on company’s policies.

I started off as a Cashier in at this establishment as soon as I got out of high school in 2011, as a cashier I was responsible for strengthening client relationship building, health and safety management in the store, working multiple stations which included our photo and pharmacy department, and providing top of the line customer service. After working this position for over a year I gained responsibility to my daily tasks which included and not limited to building displays for promotional/seasonal times of the year, and taking inventory of products in the store. In 2014 I was promoted to Supervisor which entailed counting all registers at the end of every shift to make sure they were even while documenting the income the store made for the day, problem solving client issues, delegated daily work tasks to other team members, provided training to new and current employees, assisted in the onboard hiring process of new employees, and educating customers on sale promotional items.
