My long term goal is to further my career in the study and conservation of natural habitats and the wildlife which they sustain. This is a field that I have had a love and passion for since my youth and was originally fueled by my upbringing in Botswana, Africa and has continued within the field of ecology and conservation utilizing the skills and knowledge obtained during my Masters degree in Ecology, B.Sc. degree in Zoology and experience gained from fieldwork, research projects and employment.I have experience both in the public and private sector, having been involved in a wide range of ecological projects including residential, industrial, infrastructure and commercial development schemes.With over 18 years of experience within the field of ecology, I have gained a reputation for excellent project management ensuring delivery of ecological surveys and technical reports on time and to budget.Good working knowledge of US, UK and European nature conservation and planning legislation, policy and guidance.Specialties: Key specialisms within Protected Species, Mammal ecology with extensive knowledge of British and Californian Bat ecology as well as Project Management of large scale multi sector environmental schemes.Keen interests in Ecosystem Services approaches, Landscape Scale Ecology and Green Infrastructure.
